One of our consultants led a global project aimed at selecting a set of measures derived from strategies, goals and objectives that represented a tool for senior managers / regional executives to use in communicating strategic direction and for motivating change. These same measurements formed the basis for local managers to plan, budget, structure their organisations and control results.
All measurements were derived from strategies and each measurement was part of a balanced set -
- Highlighting process and result
- Easy to understand and few in number
- Statistical as well as financial
Measurements were used to drive action and achieve goals and promoted an external, competitive focus through quantifiable goals and external benchmarks.
